Practical Information

The setting of the conference is Ringberg castle (http://www.schloss-ringberg.de/home), which is a stunning castle that belongs to the Max Planck Society, and that is specifically administered for academic conferences. It is located in the Bavarian Alps, near the German-Austrian border, with the closest airport being Munich airport (MUC).

Our room reservations assume arrival on Wednesday during the day and departure on Saturday morning. Ideal is therefore a flight arrival on Wednesday late morning/around noon and a departure early afternoon on Saturday. We will arrange the transfers from the airport to the castle and back. Please send your travel details to Ms Rast (anika.rast at aei.mpg.de). You will be picked up by the taxi service 089Drivers, the person in charge of the taxi company is Mr Martin Behringer and his mobile number is +49(0)1724631305.

Feel free to bring solid shoes, should you like to explore the surroundings of the castle.

The scientific talks will take place in the Green Room of the castle. Note that this room has a projector for displaying computer presentations, but no blackboard – please keep this in mind when preparing your talk.
