Information

Dear Colleagues,

We hereby invite you to the Sino-German symposium on gravitational physics in space, to be held at the AEI Hannover from Mon Sept 14, 2015 until Wed Sept 16, 2015. Please confirm your participation by registering at the following link:

https://workshops.aei.mpg.de/sino-german-symposium/

The aim is to bring together the leading players in technology development and verification for future gravity-related space missions, mainly LISA, but also laser interferometric Earth geodesy missions.

We expect participation by the main stakeholders in Germany, Europe and the US as well as from numerous institutions in China such as several institutes of the Chinese Academy of Science in Beijing, the Huazhong University of Science and Technology (Wuhan) and the Dongfanghong small satellite company.

After almost 10 years of close contacts and academic exchange, we now want to advance the discussion on collaboration plans which, until now, have largely been limited to mutual expressions of goodwill and interest. The purpose of this meeting therefore is to explore in more detail how a collaboration on the hardware, launch and operations could look like.

We have a preliminary agenda, details of which may still change.

We have made block reservations at a few hotels in the neighborhood. If you’d like to use them, please book yourself directly at the hotel.

We plan to have lunch from Monday until Wednesday at the conference venue, and to hold a conference dinner. For these we will need to collect a conference fee of no more than 100 Euro on the first day due to recent strict regulations.

If you have any questions or need any assistance, please not hesitate to contact us.

With best greetings

Karsten Danzmann, Gerhard Heinzel, Wu Yueliang and Liu Runqiu
