The conference will take place at the Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics (Albert Einstein Institute) Potsdam, Germany. The institute is located in Golm, a district on the outskirts of Potsdam but which can be easily reached by bus (in particular buses 605/606 towards “Wissenschaftspark Golm”/”Alt-Golm”, respectively) or train from central Potsdam. The main conference venue is lecture room (“Hörsaal”) Z-0.050 in the main reception building of the Max Planck Campus. The Albert Einstein Institute is adjacent to the main reception building. Travel information

Potsdam is well served by both Berlin Tegel Airport and Berlin Schönefeld Airport. There are also regular trains from Berlin to Potsdam, which take roughly 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the precise start and end locations. Accommodation

All participants who are not invited speakers are expected to arrange their own accommodation and we suggest that you book your accommodation early. We suggest Hotel Mercure in central Potsdam or, alternatively, the guest house on the Max Planck Campus in Golm. Please see below on how to book either option.

Hotel Mercure

Hotel Mercure has set aside a number of rooms for participants of the workshop.

Single room: €79,50 including breakfast per room per night
Double room: €104,50 including breakfast per room per night

Hotel Mercure is located in central Potsdam, close to Potsdam central train station (“Hauptbahnhof”). It can easily be reached from Berlin Tegel Airport and Berlin Schönefeld Airport and Berlin Central Train Station. There are two direct buses (buses 605 and 606 towards “Wissenschaftspark Golm” and “Alt-Golm”, respectively) from Hotel Mercure to the Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics (Albert Einstein Institute) Potsdam, as well as regular trains from Potsdam central train station to Golm train station (which is a 12 minute walk away from the Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics).

Max Planck Guest House

Participants can stay at the Max Planck Guest House, located on the Max Planck Campus in Golm.

Single room: €44,94 per room per night
Double room: €51,36 per room per night
Appartments: €64,20 per appartment per night

The guest house is located a few hundred meters away from the Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics (Albert Einstein Institute) Potsdam. Information on how to reach the Max Planck Campus.

Other options

Participants are free to book accommodation of their choice, if they so wish. The Max Planck Institute can be easily reached from Potsdam and we would suggest that participants stay there. However, there is also a quick train connection from Berlin during the week.
