Travelling by car

Munich-Salzburg motorway A8 (E45) on Highway 97 Brunnthal exit Holzkirchen. Continue on the B318 to Gmund am Tegernsee. Turn towards Bad Wiessee Gmund and proceed until traffic light after the sign Weißach. Here turn right onto Highway B307 towards Achensee. After about 1 km, take the federal highway B307 shortly after the end of the village Reitrain and keep right again to continue straight ahead for about 100 meters, then turn right to the particularly marked drive way at the forest’s outskirts (1.8 km gravel road with 9% accending slope) towards Castle Ringberg.

During winter time we highly recommend using mandatory winter tyres or even winter chains since weather changes may bring an enourmous amount of fresh snow in a short period of time.
