The LISA Waveform working group (WavWG) is dedicated to the development of waveform templates for the LISA mission and connects the broader scientific community to the LISA Consortium. As such, we coordinate efforts to model a broad spectrum of gravitational wave sources, establishing links with LISA’s astrophysics, cosmology, fundamental physics and simulation working groups, and bridge between communities employing different methodologies to prepare waveforms.

On May 13-15, 2019 the first stand-alone meeting of LISA WavWG will be hosted by the Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics in Potsdam. This meeting is open to everyone, independently of being a LISA member. It aims at getting together leading international experts and young scientists to identify pressing tasks concerning LISA waveform modelling in its broadest sense and to foster new international collaborations. We plan to organize discussion sessions focusing on different waveform modelling challenges.

Some funding from the GWverse COST action is available to support PhD students travelling to the meeting. To apply for financial support please send an email to wav-wg-chairs@lisamission.org, including a (short!) motivation and letter of support from your PhD supervisor before April 1, 2019.
